Basic File Prep
File Dimensions: file should be created at 100% size printing, but when getting ready to print the film, the file dimensions, often referred to as the canvas or artboard, should be set to print on one of the standard sizes of film with a minimum .25" border as the printer will not print to the edge.
Standard Film Sizes: 8.5"x11", 11"x17", 13"x19", 16"x24" / large format film is available upon request: 24" wide on a roll.
General Line Thickness for Exposure: lines should be greater than .5pt in thickness. In Photoshop, at 300dpi, .5pt = around 2-3 pixels.
Color Mode: please adjust to 100% black / do not submit with black as RGB OR CMYK as film will not print correct.
Do Not Invert Image: whatever is black will become the stencil used for printing.
PLEASE NOTE: Each color is required to be submitted as its own unique file, but you can submit multiple files at once.
